Import JSON data #

`POST /v1/db/<schema>/<table>` #

Insert one or more rows to the table using the JSON or JSON Lines format inside a single transaction. The POST path must include the table schema and the table name.

For the JSON import the Content-Type must be set to application/json. Each import must start with a JSON array, and each row must start with either an array or an object.

For the JSONL import the Content-Type must be set to application/jsonl. Each row must start with either an array or an object.

Providing the optional columns argument in the query, it is possible to pass the column list: POST /v1/db/schema/table?columns=a,b. If the column list is provided, each row will be interpreted according to the row type.

ROW as ARRAY

If the column list is provided, each array value will be interpreted according to the column type. The column list follows the logic described by the INSERT command.
ROW as OBJECT

If the column list is not provided, each object key will match the column name. If the object is missing some columns, they will be set to default values or generated following the logic described by the INSERT command.

If the column list is provided, it may have zero or one column only. If the column list is empty, all columns will be set to default values or generated. If a column has one column, the entire object will be used as its value.

The import command can be used to import JSON data from a file or pipe.
